SS Rajamouli has scaled a new height. He is now one
of the famed sons of India, with the Government conferring on the
respected director a high civilian honour. Padma Shri, which comes next
to Padma Bhushan, has been conferred on him.
The title must surely be in recognition of his
spectacular magnum opus Baahubali, which was hailed nationally and came
to be noted with awe internationally. This is a feat no Telugu
filmmaker has been able to achieve ever since the globalization of
cinema.
Accolades will flow from the entire film fraternity in India, for sure.
