Bangalore Naatkal Music Review

The much hyped album of the "Banglore days" remake is finally here, the movie has Arya, Bobby Simha, Rana and Sri Vidhya in lead roles. Gopi Sundar has composed music for this album which has quite the desi Malayalam flavor put all over.
Parapara oru ooru:
Singers: Ranjith
Lyricist : Viveka
Gopi has sort of retained hints of the Malayalam version, however tweaking bits and pieces of rock to make it different. The number tailor made for visuals goes about Bangalore and new experiences. Unlike a classic rock through its rendering, the song experiments freshness with the lead vocals, the inclusion of Sax is a delight.
Naan Maati:
Singers: Karthik
Lyricist : Madhan Karky
A simple and easy go melody love number from Karthik, goes about love and the madness surrounding it. With symphonic orchestration as its mainstay, Karky's lyrics mixed with light hearted vocals from Karthik drive home. As the song gets between the interludes the song gets rather monotonous finishes off on a high.
Aaga Mogatham Enai
Singers: Gopi Sunder
Lyricist : Pazhani Bharathi
The song's base tune resembles highly to the original Malayalam version, that said as the tune chugs along, Gopi mixes with remarkable violins and pianistic arrangements to give a unique touch. As again, the number is one for the visuals Gopi also takes up the microphone to tune into a string blended song that simply is relishing.
Thoddakam Mangalayam:
Singers: Vijay Yesudas, Sachin Warrier, Divya S Menon
Lyricist : Pazhani Bharathi
The pick of the lot, as in the original version, Gopi has retained the traditional folk flavor to give the originality of the tune. Vijay and Sachin bring in the perfect milieu for a marriage ceremony with high energetic vocals for a rapid folk tune. The number is brilliant for its energetic tune, those who have heard the original might feel it the overdose, but for fresh listeners it should do the trick.
En Vizhiyin Kanavu:
Singers: Anna Katharina Valayil Chandy, Gopi Sunder
 Lyricist : Madhan Karky
Yet again Gopi reuses the tune from original and looks like has struck the rightful chords yet again. An all in all cool number, sets the mood with the rightful guitar chords. Gopi's strengths seem to be the strings; the composer has leisurely used them by all means. Yet again the tune looks to be have been tailor made for visuals, probably one to wait and watch out for.
I want to fly:
Singers: Anna Katharina Valayil Chandy
Lyricist : Anna Katharina Valayil Chandy
Just like the title of the song, the album has rich composition right from the lyrics to its orchestration. The energetic freedom given through the vibe of the song is evident with its uber cool execution. These are some songs you definitely want to hear as you take that long drive.
