Bangalore Naatkal director is set to release on February 5 and
Bommarillu Bhaskar's excitement knows no bounds. He admits that it's
risky to take a hit film and remake it in another language. But the
director loves challenges which is why he took this one up. "The biggest
challenge was to retain the original flavour of the film and at the
same time give it my own touch. I must admit that isn't any creative
space or freedom when you do a remake. I didn't want to make too many
changes the remake, as it may affect the soul of the film," begins the
director.
However, the
subject of the film -sibling love is close to the director's heart. "I
have always been around cousins and so could relate to the subject
easily .Each one of them came to Bangalore and started their own
journey. That's what happened to me, and the only difference is, I was
in Hyderabad," reveals Bhaskar. What about the comparison between this
one and the original? "Even if I change the film in my style or retain
it as the original, comparisons will be made and I am ready for it. All I
can say is that, we haven't made severe changes to the original. Few
dialogues and certain scenes have been changed a little but that's about
it. Bangalore Naatkal will be a delight for the audience," concludes
the director.
