As evident from the trailer Madhavan plays a ageing
boxing coach who has been removed from a sports association by traitors
and he is on the mission to prove his worth to the world again. The
actor sports unkempt looks with long hair, black and white beard and a
chiselled physique.

movie buffs watching this phenomenally talented actor in such a maverick
role with abs, one may also think that the film will miss the romantic
side of Madhavan as the actor is a rage among women audience as a
romantic hero who could brilliantly fit in and perform love sequences.
But in an exclusive Red Carpet Interview to
Indiaglitz Madhavan and the film's director Sudha Kongura have revealed
that the film does have romantic sequences and that will come as a
surprise twist in the film. Sudha assured that the hardcore Maddy fans
won't be disappointed by the film. .
'Irudhi Suttru' will release amid tremendous
expectation on January 29, 2016. Madhavan makes a comeback to Tamil
screens with this film after a gap of four years. Rithika Singh a real
life boxer has played the female lead role. Musical score has been done
by Santosh Narayanan and the songs are already topping the charts.
The film is a bilingual and the Hindi version 'Saala Khadoos' will be hitting the screens on the same day in Chennai.
