Versatile actor Vijay Sethupathi presently has many
films in his kitty and one among them is 'Rekka'. The film is touted to
be an action film set in Madurai and Lakshmi Menon is acting as the lead
heroine in this film.
In a recent interview, the film's director Rathina
Siva has revealed that Vijay Sethupathi plays a kidnapper in the film
and Lakshmi Menon is a village belle.
Vijay Sethupathi had played a kidnapper in his cult
classic hit film 'Soodhu Kavvum' and this will be the second time he
will be portraying a kidnapper. But the director reveals this is a much
serious kidnapper role unlike 'Soodhu Kavvum' which used kidnapping
episodes for comedy.
